Gentle hands home support provides a range of non regulated home support services, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional support. If you are a social worker, GP practitioner, or someone wanting to make a referral to us in a professional capacity please contact us on email. Once we receive your referral we will contact you to book a needs assessment to ensure the support we offer is appropriate to meet their needs. 

Once this has been arranged we will arrange to meet with the person in need of support at home, so that we can introduce ourselves and discuss a support plan that works for them. (Excluding personal care & nursing support)

We provide hourly support services tailored to your unique needs, offering personalised support. Our pricing starts from as little as £21.50  per hour, based on the level of assistance required.

Additional Travel cost per visit. Enjoy simple payment terms, paid bi-weekly in arrears.

Extensively trained to deliver top-quality support tailored to clients' specific requirements.  All staff have full training and induction along with shadow support when new to the service.

Yes, we use a fully digital platform with a family and friends portal. Giving real time updates to you or a loved one. (With consent)  

Our staff are very important to us,  we pay all our staff above the national minimum wage, all staff have wellbeing support & 1.1 support each month as well as a dedicated line manager .

Non-Regulated Domestic & Companionship Support

Gentle Hands Home Support provides practical help and friendly companionship to help people remain comfortable, independent and connected in their own homes and communities.

Our support is non-regulated and is designed around the individual's wishes, abilities and independence.

We can provide support with:

• General household cleaning and tidying
• Laundry and ironing
• Shopping and errands
• Meal preparation where the person can eat independently
• Social support, conversation and companionship
• Accompaniment to appointments and local outings
• Medication prompts and reminders — not medication administration
• Light gardening and practical outdoor tasks
• Practical help with everyday household tasks

Our gardening support is person-led.

We may work alongside a client, encourage them, help them organise a task, or complete agreed light tasks where practical assistance is needed.

The purpose is to support the person's involvement and independence — not to provide a standalone gardening, landscaping or grounds-maintenance service.

Gentle Hands Home Support does not provide personal care, nursing care or other regulated activities.

This means we do not provide:

• Assistance with washing, bathing, dressing or toileting
• Continence or personal hygiene care
• Assistance with eating where the person is unable to feed themselves
• Medication administration
• Nursing care or clinical treatment
• Treatment of disease, disorder or injury
• Physiotherapy or other clinical therapies
• Footcare or clinical foot treatment
• Hairdressing or personal beauty services
• Handyman or building work
• Building adaptations or structural alterations
• Extensive ground works, landscaping or grounds maintenance
• Industrial or specialist cleaning
• Personal assistant duties where these involve personal care or other regulated activities

We also do not undertake activities that fall within the scope of regulated activities under the Health and Social Care Act 2008.

People's circumstances can change over time.

If your needs develop to include personal care, nursing or another regulated activity that we cannot provide, we will discuss this with you and, where appropriate, help you identify a suitable regulated provider.

Gentle Hands can also provide non-regulated support alongside a regulated care provider, where appropriate.

We believe people should be able to access safe, trusted and proportionate support before their needs necessarily require regulated care.

Our role is not to take over. Where appropriate, we encourage people to remain involved in everyday activities and decisions, helping them maintain their independence, confidence and connection with their community.

Support looks different for everyone.

We maintain appropriate public liability insurance and operate with safer recruitment practices, including DBS checks and training appropriate to the role and services we provide.
